Proudly rooted in San Luis Obispo County:

I come from a long line of lawyers, educators and sports coaches, and I like to think of myself as all three.  After graduating from San Luis Obispo High School (’86) and UCLA (’91), I set out in search of further education and adventure, teaching American Literature in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (1991-1994) before attending law school at the University of San Diego (1994-1997), where I represented USD on its moot court national team, culminating in national competition in New York City.

After graduation I practiced commercial and insurance litigation for two years at a mutli-state law firm in downtown San Diego (Wingert Grebing Anello & Brubaker, 1997-1999), and two years litigating commercial and real estate cases at a large regional firm in Santa Barbara (Hatch & Parent, 1999-2001), before fulfilling my broader mission of returning home to San Luis Obispo in 2001. While practicing here, I am proud of a long association with Ogden & Fricks (2001-2007) before launching my own firm in 2007.

If you don’t know me, ask around and you'll likely find someone who does.  Our reputation is our single-most valuable professional asset – bar none.
